The Challenges

  • The Settlinn project presented multifaceted challenges, particularly in catering to the diverse needs of tenants, landlords, and brokers. The tenant onboarding process involved complex steps, including OTP verification and the generation of a valid credit report. The broker, tasked with creating profiles and listings, needed functionalities for managing applications and collaborating with team members.
  • Implementing a flexible backend schema for multiple collaborators and tackling the intricacies of Transunion integration for credit history checks proved to be significant challenges.
  • Email verification and validations added another layer of complexity, demanding meticulous attention to detail, especially considering the client's emphasis on error visibility. Additionally, meeting the client's design expectations posed a unique challenge, requiring a user-friendly and engaging UI that guides users seamlessly through each step.

Our Approach

Our approach began with an in-depth analysis of the challenges, emphasizing user experience and system functionality. For the tenant onboarding, we implemented a step-by-step process, integrating OTP verification and credit report generation seamlessly. The broker's profile creation and listing management were streamlined, allowing efficient application handling and collaboration. The backend schema was modified to enable multiple collaborators, empowering tenants to invite co-tenants and co-signers, and brokers to invite team members. The Transunion integration, despite its complexities, was meticulously tackled, ensuring a smooth and error-free credit history check process.
